About Permanent Marker
Permanent Marker comes from Seed Junky Genetics and won Leafly Strain of the Year in 2023, a year after its parent Jealousy took the same title.
The nose is gas and mint, sprinkled with pepper, over a soft dessert-like base. Running through all of it is the signature: a chemical, solvent-like note that recalls a freshly uncapped marker.
It opens euphoric yet clear-headed, then settles into something relaxed.
This indica-dominant feminized photoperiod flowers in 8–10 weeks. The line has already moved on: Scented Marker uses Permanent Marker as a parent, and Permanent Marker Auto brings the name to an autoflower format.
Genetics
Seed Junky Genetics built Permanent Marker as a three-way cross of Biscotti, Sherb Bx and Jealousy, and Doja Pak brought it to market. Biscotti comes from Gelato and OG Kush, and Jealousy is itself Sherbert Bx1 × Gelato #41.
Cultivation
Growing notes
Indoors, plan on 8–10 weeks of flowering, and a SCROG is a good way to keep the canopy even and make the most of the light. Outdoors, plants finish between late September and mid-October, depending on the season.
